The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the official notification for JKSSB Police Constable Recruitment 2026 under the Home Department of J&K. A total of 1815 vacancies have been announced across both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.
The selection process will include a written examination, followed by a Physical Standard Test (PST) and a Physical Endurance Test (PET).

JKSSB Police Constable Recruitment -2026 Age Limit
The age limit is calculated as on 01 January 2025. The minimum age required is 18 years and the maximum age is 28 years for Open Merit and most reserved categories. In-service police personnel are allowed up to 30 years. Age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen will be applicable as per government rules.

The selection process consists of three stages. Candidates must qualify each stage to move to the next level. Final merit will be prepared based on written examination marks along with applicable NCC bonus marks.
